Fortress Forms Inc., offers CNC Wire Forms, Fourslide Wire Formed Products and Assemblies, and Specialty Cold Heading, along with many secondary operations. Fortress Manufacturing Inc. produces Screw Machine Products from New Britains, Davenports and Davenport Chucker Machines. Cold Heading

Fortress Forms Inc., manufactures Special Cold Headed parts along with many Secondary Operations. Unique in its ability to manufacture difficult parts and parts that require Forming or Machining to complete. Value analysis efforts have produced many cost reductions by converting Screw Machined parts into Cold Headed parts when higher volumes, (100,000+ annually), are required.

Machine capabilities start with its GB-30 Bolt Master Header which can process wire up to a 1.125” diameter and parts up to approximately 8.0” in length. From there we have #750 Nationals, #56 Nationals, Open Die and Toggle Headers. Secondary operations include Fourslide operations, Davenport Chucker machining operations, Rotary drill presses, High Speed rolling processes, Punch Presses and many more. Generally, a minimum EAU of 100,000 pieces is required.

Wire Forming

ACNC Wire Forming Machines can process wire diameters from .08” to .437”. Lower and Higher quantities can be processed normally with short lead times depending upon raw material availability. High Tech to Low Tech parts can be processed in this manner also. Normally no tooling charge is required.

Capabilities Include:

Wire diameters from .08” to .437”, and parts up to 36”+ in length
Full secondary operation capabilities
Special Assembly capabilities including welding

Fourslide Equipment ranges from #00 to #8 in size and can process from .03” to .500” diameter wire. Complex Wire Forms can be produced. A minimum EAU of 100,000 pieces, (to justify tooling these machines), is required. These machines can provide Secondary Forming and Assembly Operations for Cold Headed and
Machined parts.

Screw Machine Products

Fortress Manufacturing, Inc. manufactures a variety of products on Multi-spindle Screw Machines, including New Britains, Davenports and Davenport Chuckers.

Special capabilities include the ability to drill small diameters, deep holes in small linkages, cable ends and connectors. The Davenport Chuckers are setup with vibratory feeding to handle high volume parts and Cold Headed parts that require Secondary Operations to complete.


Along with our Multi-Spindle Screw Machines, we have Automatic Bar Feed Machines that contribute towards our production capacity. We produce parts in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and materials up to 2.250” in diameter.
We can also chuck individual work pieces to complete secondary operations.
